Corsica 2015//Part III

Hey,
During the second week of our holiday, Saint Florent were holding their annual festival called Porto Latino. It's about a week long and includes a four day music festival. We attended the third day of the festival and saw a number of different artists. It was held at the Citadelle which is basically an old castle-like monument which has a brilliant view over the harbor at Saint Florent.

The first band we watched is called Shake Shake Go and my parents had actually seen them before! They toured with James Blunt a few months back and were really good. They're a folk band with members from Wales and France with a female lead singer and male band. They were really enjoyable to listen to and their single England Skies is available now!

The second band was Metronomy who are actually quite a popular band here in the UK. The group consists of 3 guys and a girl on drums (which is pretty fckin cool if you ask me). They're a electro-pop, trippy kinda band and I'd have to say that it is definitely a acquired taste of music, my mum and brother weren't particularly huge fans, whereas my dad and I were loving it! They played songs from their album 'Love Letters' and a couple from their previous albums. They also had a crack at speaking some french during the performance which was actually quite good!

During the whole four days there were street artists painting the streets to celebrate the festival. By the final day, one whole stretch of the street was covered in bright, colourful art. It was lovely to see everyone getting excited about the festival and showing their passion for it this way.
