September Life Update

Hey!

The last life update was in July and it's safe to say that a few things have changed since then.

Firstly, I got my A-Level results. I passed all my subjects with a B, two C's and a D. I ended up dropping the Creative Writing (the class I got a D in) just because I didn't really enjoy it anymore, plus the coursework would've been 4,000 words long. I'm happy with my results and it's set me up nicely for this year.

Along with this, I've started looking at universities. I've been to one open day so far in Cardiff and I completely fell in love with the campus. It was so pretty and the course looked amazing! I'm also visiting City of London, Westminster and Brighton. All seem fab and I'm looking forward to seeing what they have to offer. One big piece of exciting news is that I'm beginning a new adventure into the world of making videos. I've been offered a position as a creator for the new app 'Soapbox'. The app shows two-minute beauty/fashion videos and let's you buy the products used directly from the app (you should download the app here!) I haven't uploaded a video yet because I haven't got the equipment (e.g. a decent camera and tripod) but as soon as I do I will try to upload on there as often as I can. I may also create a YouTube channel to go along with it. Watch this space....

The WORST Types of People at College

Hey!
Since I've now gone back to college I thought that it'd be appropriate to write a post related to that. You meet a bunch of new people at college which is great but there's that small handful who are just the worst (sorry not sorry).

1. The Headphone Blaster - There's that one kid who thinks that it's A-OK to be blasting their crappy-ass music out of their headphones. Sorry but I do not want to hear 'Watch Me Whip' coming through your poor quality headphones you probably got from PoundLand

2. The 'I Didn't Revise but Got 100% on the Test' - These types of people have to be the worst for me. They don't revise or even look at their notes but somehow they always do incred on their exams/tests and then there's people like me who revise their butt off trying to just pass and still come out with a D.

3. The Know-it All - There's always that person in your class who raises their hand to answer every frickin question. Excuse me SIR but I'd like to give one a shot thank you very much.

4. The Homework Reminder - Do not, I repeat do NOT, ever remind the teacher about the homework that's due unless you want a death stare from everyone else in the class. Probably including me.

5. The Question Asker - Now, don't get me wrong, it's really good to be asking questions if you don't understand something but please, pleaseE just wait until the damn class is over to ask. Nobody wants to hear you ask 'What was that?' 20 times in an hour. Nobody.

1. Favourite food?

I'd probably have to say either pasta or some sort of chicken dish

2. Favourite place you've visited?

Hands down Corsica, it's the most beautiful place I've been to. The sea is the most incredible blue ever.

3. Do you want to get a tattoo? If so, what do you want and why?

I would really like to get a tattoo. I think that I'd probably get a little leaf on my ankle. I heard a line from a Cage The Elephant song 'Time is like a leaf in the wind, it's either time well spent, or time I've wasted'

4. What's your favourite bands/artists?

Imagine Dragons, Alesso, Neck Deep, Deorro, CHVRCHES, Twenty One Pilots

5. Favourite thing about yourself?

My eyes, idk I like the blue-ness (?)

Probably heights

7. One thing on your wish list?

To travel

8. Are you reading a book at the moment? If so which one?

Yes, I'm reading 'In Real Life: Love, Lies and Identity in the Digital Age'. It's super interesting and relevant to the 21st Century. I'll probably write a blog post about it soon too.

9. Are you a dog or a cat person?

I actually really like both but I'd have to say I'm a cat person at heart.

10. Best concert you've been to?

By far Imagine Dragons, it was such a good energy and atmosphere and wouldn't change it for the world.

Love is a very beautiful and dangerous thing. It's crazily beautiful how much you can fall for someone and how much they then mean to you. It's beautiful that someone can love you for being you. Everyone deserves a chance at a beautiful love, they deserve to see the sunshine.
